Job summary

Genius AI is seeking a senior leader to head Compute, Data, and DevEx, owning the infrastructure and data platform roadmaps. You will set reliability standards, manage vendor spend, and build a self-service platform enabling product engineers to ship rapidly. Report to the VP of Engineering and work in-person in SF 3–4 days a week.

You will guide architecture for scale, performance, and reliability, drive incident response, and mentor a growing team of engineers across the infrastructure stack.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in infrastructure or platform engineering
• 4+ years managing or leading engineering teams at a high-growth tech company
• AI-driven changes in team operations and tooling
• Able to set technical direction with incomplete information and adapt by data

Responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap for infrastructure and data platform, scaling to handle more traffic while maintaining 99.95% uptime and cloud spend efficiency across AWS regions
• Shape agentic production ops and enable engineers to delegate routine tasks to agents
• Define reliability engineering with SLI/SLO, incident response, and post-mortems
• Improve developer experience via CI platform standardization and self-service tooling
• Lead incident command during outages and drive systemic fixes
• Own vendor strategy and budget, negotiating contracts and migrations when cost/capability justify
