Job summary

Genius AI is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Platform team. You will own end-to-end responsibility for engineering quality, team health, and the outcomes your team drives for the businesses we serve.

This is a focused ownership role leading tier-zero systems, identity, permissions, session management, and messaging infrastructure, that every product on the platform depends on. You must be commutable to our NYC headquarters or SF office and will operate in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years leading a software team.
• Experience applying AI to architecture, debugging, writing and review of code.
• Ability to make decisions quickly, ship solutions, and adapt as you learn.
• Strong technical judgment and track record mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end execution for your team: delivery, quality bar, scope trade-offs and shipping without debt.
• Embed AI tooling to accelerate development cycles and improve code quality.
• Architect AI-powered systems to boost team productivity and automation.
• Partner with Product and Design from strategy through production.
• Contribute to technical direction and surface platform needs early.
• Develop your team and invest in engineers' growth.
• Collaborate with recruiting to hire strong engineers and maintain high standards.
