FurtherAI Inc. in San Francisco seeks an exceptional engineering leader to own our AI organization—agents, infrastructure, and products at the core of everything we build. You’ll shape technical direction, recruit world-class AI engineers, and stay hands-on in code and architecture while driving real production impact.

You’ll lead three teams: AI infrastructure, Agent intelligence, and Agentic products, scaling post-Series A with bold execution and ownership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading AI/ML engineering teams shipping production systems.
• Deep understanding of agentic architectures—tool use, planning, multi-agent orchestration, evals.
• Strong technical bar; fluent in code; can evaluate experimental design.
• Track record building and scaling teams and leaders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow the AI organization; scale to three teams: infrastructure, agent intelligence, and agentic products.
• Set technical direction for production-grade agents handling customer money.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain a world-class AI engineering team.
• Stay deeply technical and set the example in architecture and code.
• Push the frontier of what agents can do for insurance as the field moves.
