Job summary

Axmed is actively seeking a Head of Engineering to translate our AI-driven product vision into the way the team works daily. You will lead engineers and QA, shape engineering workflows, and stay hands-on to explore what is possible and demonstrate it to the team.

You will partner with the CTO and Product Lead to decide what to build next, own architecture, ensure security guardrails, and drive delivery speed while maintaining quality in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• People leadership: at least 4 years as an engineering manager.
• AI in your workflow: you build with AI tools and agents day to day and can explain how you ensure output is right.
• Leading change: you have reshaped an engineering org or introduced new engineering practices, and can show how it played out.

Responsibilities

• You will lead the engineering team and QA, shaping reporting lines, hiring, and performance.
• Define and implement how we build with AI, from agent-driven development to PR workflows and guardrails.
• Ensure upstream quality by guiding the team to teach the machine to execute well, not just execute.
• Steer architecture decisions to evolve our workflow-based platform.
• Remain hands-on to prototype and ship, identifying new opportunities and better ways of working.
• Set engineering strategy with the CTO and Product Lead and manage relationships with technology partners.
