Job summary

AxisCare is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and scale remote, high-performing engineering teams. You will foster environments where engineers thrive, embrace AI thoughtfully, and deliver reliable software for customers across the United States.

You will partner with product and design, drive technical direction, and coach teams to balance speed with quality, while modeling disciplined AI usage. This role reports to the Director of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Track record managing software engineers on teams building full stack web applications.
• Demonstrated, substantive use of AI development tools in your own work.
• Able to work remotely from the Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones.
• Qualified to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day health of engineering teams and help engineers grow.
• Partner with product and design to rapidly convert important problems into working software.
• Set high standards of excellence and lead by example in AI adoption.
• Coach engineers on trusting AI output, maintaining code quality, and avoiding premature optimization.
• Encourage faster, cheaper paths to usable software with thoughtful trade-offs.
