Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a Software Engineering Manager in the United States to lead a team focused on automation, AI-first solutions, and end-to-end delivery. You will partner with content, product, and design to improve workflows, prototype AI tools, and drive scalable platforms.

Requires a CS degree and 3+ years of technology leadership, plus hands-on experience with cloud platforms, APIs, and agile delivery.

Qualifications

Solid understanding of AI concepts, technologies and methods.
Experience with GenAI toolkits and coding assistants.
Experience integrating AI/GenAI into enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of automation initiatives, collaborating with onsite and offshore engineering teams as well as cross-functional partners across the organization.
Partner with content teams to analyze workflows, identify automation opportunities, and design AI-first solutions.
Drive development of AI-powered tools through prototyping, enhancements, and continuous improvement of existing platforms.
Work with Product Managers and business partners to deliver innovative, scalable solutions while ensuring alignment to engineering guidelines.
