Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Director, Data Hall Design to lead the physical design of AI infrastructure across our data centers. You will own layouts, rack topology, cooling, and BOMs while building a scalable design team.

This remote-first leadership role demands 10+ years in data hall or data center design, deep GPU infrastructure knowledge, and the ability to turn requirements into buildable packages.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data hall or related IT infrastructure planning.
• Proven ability to design high-density compute environments.
• Experience documenting design packages and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Own data hall layout design from concept to construction-ready drawings.
• Design rack layouts optimizing GPU topology, cooling, and power distribution.
• Translate network architecture into physical designs across topologies.
• Produce BOMs, cable plans, fiber layouts, and BOM documentation.
• Lead a team of data hall designers and establish standards.
