Job summary

Nscale is hiring a Senior Manager, Data Hall Design to lead a team across the Americas. You’ll define standards, ensure high-quality drawings, and drive capacity planning for multiple programs, coordinating with network, MEP, procurement, and construction teams.

You’ll bring hands-on data hall design experience and strong leadership to guide design reviews, BOM management, and DCIM documentation, while reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data center design or IT infrastructure planning.
• 3+ years leading a design team.
• Deep understanding of data center rack layouts and cooling/ power implications.
• Strong knowledge of network topology concepts (InfiniBand, spine-leaf).
• Experience creating and governing design standards and review processes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, BIM/Revit for design reviews.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop Data Hall Design Leads and Designers.
• Plan team capacity and balance workload with construction schedules.
• Hire and onboard new team members; manage external partners.
• Own data hall design standards, templates, and drawing formats.
• Develop reference designs for GPU cluster deployments.
• Maintain BOM quality and coordinate with procurement.
• Set DCIM documentation standards and ensure records are complete.
• Act as senior contact to program managers, customers, and leadership.
