Job summary

Asana seeks an experienced engineering leader to scale the AI Teammates Pillar within the Core AI Organization. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will guide four teams and shape end-to-end strategy for enterprise-grade AI workflows that augment human work.

You will oversee architecture, leadership development, and cross-functional partnerships with Product, Design, Security, and Legal, while fostering inclusion and engineering excellence in a hybrid SF office environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years leading multiple teams or managers.
• Deep understanding of applied AI, LLM evaluation, agent/tool orchestration, MCP, and production observability.
• Experience with backend/systems reliability and enterprise governance at scale.

Responsibilities

• Set direction and metrics for four AI Teammates teams (Platform, Experience, Chat, Orchestration).
• Architect end-to-end AI platforms, model rollout, eval, MCP, and proactivity engines for enterprise customers.
• Lead product/platform engineering to deliver human-AI collaboration features and governance.
