Job summary

Asana is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the AI Teammates Experience team. You will build the user-facing experiences that enable teams to work with AI Teammates and collaborate with admins and users across Asana.

This role emphasizes full-stack design, empathy, and rapid experimentation to deliver high-quality, measurable impact. You will work on prompting systems, evaluation/testing infrastructure, and agent capabilities, partnering with foundation teams to advance AI-powered

Qualifications

3+ years experience across the stack in large, well-maintained codebases.
Experience building product features in complex technical domains; experience with applied AI, prompting systems, evaluation/testing infrastructure, or agent-style workflows is a plus.
Track record of collaborating with teams to scope and deliver impactful features.
Ability to bring structure, judgment, and collaboration to evolving AI/product challenges.

Responsibilities

Drive full-stack development of robust systems and product surfaces for AI Teammates.
Collaborate with product, design, and platform teams to turn AI capabilities into intuitive product surfaces.
Contribute to interaction patterns for AI, including prompts, flows, and context maintenance.
Apply empathetic product judgment and rapid experimentation to improve usability and impact.
