Asana is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the AI Teammates Experience team. You will build engaging experiences that let teams work with AI Teammates, shaping interaction and surface design for teams, admins, and users.

We value curiosity about AI, prompt engineering insight, and a track record of delivering impactful features in complex domains. The role is office-centric with a hybrid schedule in San Francisco, with some WFH options depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience working across the stack in large, well-maintained codebases.
• Experience building product features in complex technical domains; AI, prompting, evaluation/testing infra, or agent workflows a plus.
• Track record of scoping and delivering impactful features in collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive full-stack development of robust systems and product surfaces for AI Teammates.
• Collaborate with product, design, and platform teams to convert AI capabilities into intuitive surfaces.
• Contribute to interaction patterns for AI, including conversational flows and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Apply empathetic product judgment and rapid experimentation to improve usability and impact.
