Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Chief Construction Officer to lead residential development and construction from land opportunity through occupancy. You will build and optimize a high‑performing org with robust systems, processes, and partnerships to support a growing portfolio of housing projects.

Reporting to the executive team, you will oversee budgets, schedules, safety, and compliance, and collaborate with municipalities, contractors, and government partners to expand affordable housing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, real estate development or related field.
• 10–15 years progressive experience in construction/real estate development, with large-scale residential programs.
• Experience managing contractors, architects, engineers, consultants and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement multi-year construction and real estate development strategy.
• Oversee land entitlement, development approval, and budgets.
• Lead safety, quality, and compliance across projects.
• Manage relationships with municipalities, contractors, and partners.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools for executive leadership.
