About the Position: Chief Accounting Officer

We are seeking someone to lead Axis Outsourced Accounting. This role involves establishing the company's systems, processes, client service model, and leadership structure. As the company grows, your responsibilities will evolve to include building and managing a team, ensuring continued success.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base Salary: starting at $65,000 per year

Primary Responsibilities

Head of Accounting:

• Train team members in technical areas

• Serve as the final authority on accounting and financial questions

• Ensure compliance with record-keeping and reporting laws and regulations

• Maintain client financial records in accordance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements

Leadership:

• Build, grow, and lead a team of remote accountants

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members

• Foster an "employee-first" mindset, prioritizing team success

• Hire middle managers and establish leadership levels as the business scales

Operations:

• Develop scalable systems and processes

• Establish a quality assurance function to ensure accuracy and effective client communication

• Select and manage tools and platforms for delivering client services

Client Retention & Growth:

• Maintain high client retention rates, focusing on healthy client relationships

• Proactively communicate with clients regarding significant financial matters

• Regularly collect and act on client feedback

• Foster client relationships and implement referral programs

Financial Performance:

• Maintain revenue and expense growth forecasts and address performance variances

• Manage the balance sheet for growth and ROI

• Share performance metrics with owners and team members through regular dashboards
