Job Title: Client Accounting Lead

A cloud-accounting firm is seeking a Client Accounting Lead to execute and oversee a full suite of cloud accounting tasks across a variety of clients and industries.

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time & Part-time available, W2
• Location: REMOTE within the US
• Compensation: $30 - $33 per hour DOE

Qualifications:

• Multi-client cloud accounting experience, managing multiple large clients remotely across various industries, including process improvement, onboarding, and cleanup. Over 3 years of experience in payroll, monthly book closing, and process creation for cash and accrual clients. Experience with QBO, Bill.com, Gusto, etc. for 2+ years.
• Strong accrual accounting knowledge, managing clients with full accrual processes, maintaining detailed, audit-ready schedules, and integrating external data sources for monthly close.
• Higher-education accounting degree; CPA firm or public accounting experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills across digital channels and relationship-building abilities.
• Keen attention to detail and a passion for fostering the same in others.
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills, knowing when to seek help.
• Humility, openness to coaching, and a desire for continuous improvement.
• Strong coaching skills with a focus on empathetic mentorship of junior staff.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and finance processes (invoicing, bill-pay, payroll, monthly close, sales tax, year-end prep) for 10-20 clients.
• Coordinate with the support team on service delivery, task delegation, review, and coaching.
• Serve as the primary client contact, providing joyful support and process improvement advice.
• Review potential client books to identify errors, assist in accurate pricing, and plan onboarding. Manage cleanup and onboarding once clients sign.
