Job summary

The University of Washington Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery seeks a full-time ARNP or PA at the rank of Teaching Associate. Deployed to UWMC Montlake, you will join a multidisciplinary Otolaryngology-HNS team providing perioperative and continuum of care for Head and Neck Cancer.

New graduates are welcome; mentoring will develop knowledge and procedural skills. Inpatient consults, post-operative visits, and patient education are key responsibilities in this faculty role.

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant/Associate program.
• Current and valid state licensure as an ARNP or PA-C or foreign equivalent.
• Nationally Certified ARNP/PA-C with DEA.
• Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment.
• Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex and problem-focused initial assessment, screening/diagnostic evaluation, management, and follow-up with otolaryngology patients.
• Participate in interdisciplinary evaluation, management, and follow-up using clinical practice guidelines.
• Evaluate and manage urgent issues.
• Inpatient consults and post-operative visits.
• Collaborate with PCPs and other providers to ensure continuity of care across the continuum.
