Midtown is looking for a Head Lifeguard to add to our world-class team.

Position Summary

• As an integral part of the aquatics and lifeguard team, our Head Lifeguards inspire members through movement, community, and personal attention. They encourage active, social, and healthier lives by:
• Demonstrating sound leadership, professionalism, resilience, and optimism.
• Engaging more members in more programs and with more lifeguards.
• Developing and maintaining aquatics areas to promote an enjoyable experience.
• Monitoring lifeguards and ensuring they are following safety protocols.
• Maintaining a safe swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations of the pool and surrounding area.
• Recognizing and responding effectively in emergency situations.
• Performing water rescues and administering basic first aid as needed.
• Inspecting the facility on a daily basis and reporting any unsafe conditions or faulty equipment to your manager.
• Directing swimmers in and out of the pool in hazardous conditions.
• Maintaining a clean environment in and around the pool.

Our Head Lifeguards:

• Have at least two or more years of lifeguard supervisory experience.
• Are able to effectively provide associate training and development.
• Possess nationally recognized certifications in aquatics including: CPR/AED, First Aid, CPO, AFO or equivalent (Preferred).
• Possess the ability to provide multisensory instruction: auditory, visual, tactile, kinesthetic.
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly, concisely, and timely.

The pay for this position, based in Bannockburn, IL, has a pay range of $17 to $21, based on experience.
