The Country Club of Ocala is seeking an experienced PGA Head Golf Professional to lead our golf operations, oversee the golf shop, and direct tournaments, events, instruction, merchandising, and staff. Qualifications

• PGA membership in good standing is required.
• Experience as Head Golf Professional or senior leadership role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of golf operations, tournaments, merchandising and instruction.
• Excellent leadership, communication and member-service skills.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the golf department and golf shop.
• Provide exceptional service and build relationships with members and guests.
• Manage and develop golf staff.
• Coordinate and execute member tournaments, outings, leagues and events.
• Provide individual and group golf instruction and develop programming.
• Oversee golf shop merchandising, inventory, displays and sales.
• Manage tee sheet operations, pace of play and member experience.
• Maintain and enforce club policies and standards.
• Collaborate with Club leadership on events and operations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and purchasing related to golf operations.

Overview

The Country Club of Ocala is seeking an experienced and service-oriented PGA Head Golf Professional to lead the Club's golf operations. This position is responsible for delivering an exceptional golf experience for members and guests while overseeing golf shop operations, tournaments and events, instruction, merchandising, and the golf professional staff.

The ideal candidate is a polished golf professional and strong leader who enjoys being highly visible with members and creating a welcoming, service-focused golf environment.

Experience Required

• PGA membership in good standing required.
• Previous experience as a Head Golf Professional, First Assistant Golf Professional, or similar leadership role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of golf operations, tournaments, merchandising, and instruction.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and member-service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Essential Responsibilities
