Job summary

Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club seeks a Head Golf Professional to lead the Golf Department, delivering exceptional member experiences and driving high standards across all golf programs and events.

You will oversee daily operations, coach staff, manage budgets, and collaborate with departments to ensure consistent service quality at a premier private club in Menlo Park, California.

Qualifications

• PGA Class A Member in good standing; Master designation preferred.
• Minimum five years of leadership experience at a premier private club or resort.
• Proven ability to lead diverse membership and staff with strong customer service.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; proficient with golf software.
• Knowledge of PGA teaching methods and golf business trends.

Responsibilities

• Create a personable, service-focused golf environment delivering exceptional member experiences.
• Plan and execute daily play, tournaments, member events, leagues, clinics, and special outings.
• Direct daily golf operations including shop, outside services, bag drop, practice facilities, carts and repair services.
• Act as department leader in Director of Golf’s absence, ensuring smooth operations and staffing.
• Recruit, hire, schedule, supervise, and develop Golf Department staff; manage payroll and scheduling.
• Conduct regular staff meetings, training, and performance coaching.
