Broward County Public Schools is seeking a Head Facilities Serviceperson (High School/Vocational Center) to oversee operation of mechanical systems, supervise custodial staff, and uphold safety and energy conservation across Hallandale High in Hallandale Beach, FL. The role requires strong hands-on maintenance skills and leadership within a school environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of facility experience, and knowledge of cleaning equipment.

Standard high school diploma or GED; three years of facility experience.
Extensive knowledge in operation of vacuums, washers, and buffing equipment; must impart this knowledge to subordinates.
Schedule assignments and instruct staff in energy conservation procedures.
Physically able to assist in cleaning, including working from ladders.
Must complete the Professional and Master Facilities Service training programs before applying.
Compliance failures may result in disciplinary action per bargaining agreement.
Computer skills as required for the position.

Responsabilidades

Prepare school for daily opening, including opening doors, lights, and ensuring the HVAC system works.
Supervise custodial staff; conduct training on use of tools, equipment, and supplies.
Requisition, store, and issue cleaning supplies.
Display flags in accordance with procedures inside and outside the building.
Maintain safety programs to prevent hazards and fires.
