Job summary

Laramie County School District 1 EDUCATION ANNEX in Cheyenne, Wyoming is seeking a Head Custodian. The role operates Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, 8 hours daily, for 12 months, with a pay rate of $16.86/hour plus benefits.

Responsibilities include supervising custodial staff, cleaning facilities, and ensuring safety and security across the site. The incumbent will oversee maintenance tasks, coordinate with administration, train staff, and manage supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 6 months custodial experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• English language skills—oral and written.
• Ability to promote safety and follow district procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and inspects facilities to maintain a sanitary, safe environment.
• Supervises custodial staff and coordinates scheduling and training.
• Plans daily activities and assists with event setup.
• Monitors building systems and responds to safety concerns outside standard hours.
• Orders supplies and maintains equipment; transports materials as needed.
• Participates in meetings and trainings; performs other duties as assigned.
