Job summary

FAIRVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Cheyenne, Wyoming, is seeking a Head Custodian to oversee custodial services for a 12‑month work year. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, with an 8‑hour day and paid at $17.70 per hour plus benefits. Reports to Custodial Supervisor and/or Principal.

Requires strong supervision and safety awareness to maintain a safe, clean school environment. The position falls under Custodial Services with a non‑exempt status; prior supervisory experience is preferred,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months of custodial experience.
• Experience preferred in supervision and/or facilities maintenance.
• English language skills – Oral and written communication, interpersonal relations, supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties to maintain a clean, safe educational environment.
• Supervise custodial staff and coordinate scheduling and duties.
• Monitor building systems and respond to safety concerns.
• Order supplies and maintain equipment.
• Assist with safety and compliance and site procedures.
