Young World Physical Education is looking for a Head Custodian to supervise custodial and maintenance services at Stony Brook and Eddy Elementary Schools in Brewster, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, knowledge of facility maintenance, and experience in supervising staff. Compensation is between $70,000 to $80,000 per year, with immediate availability.

Qualifications

Job Description

Directs and supervises custodial and maintenance services at Stony Brook Elementary School and Eddy Elementary School. Responsible for the safe and efficient condition and operation of all buildings, grounds, and systems for the Brewster elementary school physical plants and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise custodial staff.
• Oversee contractors and maintenance activities.
• Interact with the public regarding facility use.
• Assist in budget development and management.
• Maintain all aspects of facility maintenance including lighting, water, heating, ventilation, alarms, clocks and generators.
• Work independently and serve as a self‑starter and organized manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Knowledge of all aspects of facility maintenance.
• Experience supervising custodial staff and overseeing contractors.
• Ability to work independently and be self‑starter.
• Ability to assist with budgeting.

Compensation and Availability

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per year.
