Job summary

Stacked is seeking aHead Chef to lead kitchen operations in our fast-paced gourmet burger bar in the Carondelet neighborhood. You will oversee menu execution, establish portion sizes, mentor staff, and collaborate with owners on pricing and planning.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in varied kitchen positions, at least 6 months in kitchen management, and a calm, respectful communication style. ServSafe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in varied kitchen positions.
• 6 months+ experience in kitchen management.
• Must communicate calmly and respectfully with owners, management, staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all food and products are prepared and served to standards.
• Make employment and termination decisions (interviewing, hiring, rewarding and disciplining).
• Act as a mentor and guide to all restaurant staff.
• Oversee training of all new kitchen employees; schedule BOH staff.
• Ensure equipment is clean and maintained; work with owners on pricing and planning.
• Create new menu items, recipes, and establish portion sizes and procedures.
• Develop monthly burger specials and collaborations.
• Establish relationships with vendors and manage orders to avoid shortages.
