Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of cashiering experience plus leadership training.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction and role-model behavior.
• Ability to operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to perform repetitious tasks, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move carts up to 35 lbs. as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations.
• Proactively visit registers to ensure excellent customer service and provide direction to cashiers and courtesy clerks.
• Assist customers with register issues and resolve concerns.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Maintain visibility for security and loss prevention at exit doors.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and take steps for disciplinary actions when needed.
