Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is hiring for a front-end associate to provide exceptional customer service, assist shoppers in finding and loading merchandise, and answer questions about products and warranties.

The role involves operating the register, processing transactions, and helping ensure a smooth checkout experience. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma and some retail or cashier experience, plus basic computer and mobile device familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Responds knowledgeably to customer questions and walks them through projects when necessary.
• Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information.
