Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting and handling information.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by following Lowe's policies and programs.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Answer questions and guide customers through store areas and projects.
• Communicate stock, special orders, features, applications, and warranty information to customers.
• Operate cash register and process sales, returns, and refunds per guidelines.
• Handle monetary change for register activities and ensure accuracy.
• Tag removal, price verification, bagging merchandise, and assisting with checkout coverage.
• Prepare register area and maintain supplies; verify receipts and loading tickets.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages and manage order tickets.
• Look up product information and verify price matches; maintain store use lists.
• Complete cash counting and daily reconciliation; monitor cash levels.
• Monitor entrances/exits, assist customers or staff during security events.
• Identify signs of shoplifting and report to management or Asset Protection.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and a safe, organized workspace.
• Adhere to safety requirements and operate store equipment as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
