Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe’s policies and programs.
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Listens to questions and guides customers to areas of the store, assisting with projects when necessary.
• Communicates information regarding stock, special orders, features, benefits, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds per guidelines.
• Ensures proper change is provided to front-end associates for register activities.
• Inspects merchandise, verifies product info, and bags items for customers.
• Prepares register area at shift start/end and ensures functionality of registers and scanners.
• Monitors cashier duties and assists with security measures as needed.
