Position Summary

The Head Bartender leads the bar program and bar team, setting the standard for service, beverage quality, and guest experience. This role is both hands-on and supervisory, responsible for daily bar operations, training staff, maintaining consistency, and collaborating with management on beverage offerings and service flow. The ideal candidate is a confident leader, skilled mixologist, and team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily bar operations and set service standards for the bar team
• Prepare and serve high-quality cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Train, mentor, and support bartenders and bar support staff
• Maintain consistency in recipes, presentation, and portioning
• Assist with beverage menu development and seasonal updates
• Manage bar setup, breakdown, and cleanliness
• Monitor inventory, ordering, and waste in collaboration with management
• Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws, safety, and sanitation standards
• Provide warm, engaging guest interactions and resolve minor guest concerns as needed
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house leadership

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required; leadership or head bartender experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
