Evo Kitchen + Bar in Portland, ME is seeking a Head Bartender to lead the bar program, set service standards, and ensure exceptional guest experience. This hands-on role blends supervision with bartending mastery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum bartending experience required; leadership or head bartender experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to lead by example.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must meet Maine alcohol service requirements; reliable nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily bar operations and set service standards for the bar team.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Train, mentor, and support bartenders and bar staff.
• Maintain recipe and portioning consistency and presentation.
• Assist with beverage menu development and seasonal updates.
• Manage bar setup, breakdown, and cleanliness.
