Douro, part of the Prentice Hospitality Group, is seeking a part-time Bartender in Portland, ME to craft cocktails and serve wine and beer with hospitality and professionalism.

You will balance mixology with a clean, organized workspace while following safety and service standards and representing the group’s culture and values. Join a team dedicated to quality and community.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a restaurant or bar setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide excellent service at the bar and tableside.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drink menus, seasonal offerings, and featured specials.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
• Keep bar area clean, stocked, and organized throughout shifts.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and practice responsible service at all times.
• Work collaboratively with servers, support staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.

Position Summary
