Job description

Olmsted is seeking a career-minded Head Bartender who is highly skilled, experienced, and deeply motivated and passionate about hospitality.

The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of classic cocktails and spirits and exude a passion for mixology and craft beverages.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee daily operations of the bar
2. Supervise bartenders
3. Ensure compliance with Department of Health safety regulations
4. Prep and batch house cocktails weekly
5. Track inventory and order liquor and ingredients as needed
6. Collaborate with the Bar Manager and General Manager to uphold beverage service standards

Candidate prerequisites:

• NYC Food Handler’s Certification
• Proficiency in steps of service
• Extensive knowledge of spirits and cocktails, including both classic and contemporary recipes
• Creative and self-motivated problem solver
• Strong desire to be relied upon
• Leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
