Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Quality Control Engineer focused on HD mapping in the United States. You will review lane geometry, road boundaries, intersections, signage, and connectivity against quality specs, and QC data from LiDAR, imagery, and vehicle sensors.

You will help develop scalable QC workflows and metrics while collaborating with mapping, autonomy engineering, and vendor teams to ensure high data quality for autonomous trucking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-3 years for QC Engineer I or 3-5 years for QC Engineer II in geospatial data quality control or related role.
• Experience with geospatial formats: Shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML; coordinate and projection systems.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS or QGIS and LiDAR/point-cloud visualization tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify spatial/data-quality inconsistencies in large datasets.
• Ability to work with large datasets and develop repeatable, data-driven QC processes.
• Strong written communication for documenting defects and findings.
• Collaboration with engineering, operations, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Review HD map geospatial datasets against internal quality specs and ground-truth sources.
• QC reviews of map features from LiDAR, imagery, and vehicle data.
• Identify, document, and triage defects; escalate safety-critical issues.
• Define and improve QC metrics, sampling strategies, and audit workflows.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to communicate quality expectations.
• Analyze recurring defect patterns and provide feedback to upstream workflows.
• Maintain documentation covering QC procedures, edge cases, and region-specific mapping.
• Support readiness reviews for new lanes and corridors.
• For senior levels, design/improve QC processes, mentor juniors, calibrate vendor quality, report trends to engineering.
