City of Tucson is seeking a Housing Assistance Supervisor to oversee HCV operations, supervise staff, and ensure compliant processing of program activities. The role emphasizes quality control, staff development, and strong customer service to participants and landlords.

The position requires experience in affordable housing programs, leadership of teams, and certifications like CHS or NSPIRE. Work is primarily in an office setting with occasional travel and potential evening commitments.

Formación

• At least three years of progressively responsible experience in affordable housing programs, preferably within the Housing Choice Voucher program.
• At least three years of experience managing teams of 5 or more.
• Currently possesses Certified Housing Specialist, Housing Quality Standards/NSPIRE, or other industry-recognized certifications.
• Fluent in written and spoken Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Tagalog, and/or Navajo.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned staff, including performance evaluations and ongoing coaching.
• Oversee daily operations within HCV functional areas, ensuring timely and accurate processing of program activities.
• Ensure compliance with HUD regulations, agency policies, and program requirements.
• Develop and manage staff schedules, workload distribution, and coverage plans.
• Track and analyze program performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Address escalated participant and landlord concerns with timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with other supervisors to improve cross-functional coordination.
• Assist in developing policies and procedures to enhance program performance.
