Qualifications

You'll leverage your knowledge and expertise to accurately code diagnoses under CMS HCC guidelines and assist in identifying key data that supports clinical quality and financial integrity.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to identify and accurately code all relevant diagnoses according to CMS HCC categories.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and specific documentation that supports risk adjustment requirements.
• Conduct claims and encounter coding activities, verifying that documentation supports the HCC risk adjustment codes used.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards, industry guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training and provide feedback to enhance coding quality and efficiency.
• Document coding information accurately in required systems and complete paperwork as needed.

Requirements

• Active coding certifications such as CRC, CPC, CIC, COC, or CCS.
• Minimum of 2 years of HCC risk adjustment coding experience.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to adapt to multiple EMR systems and projects; experience with HCC Contract Work or similar platforms is a plus.
• Ability to meet productivity and quality metrics consistently.
• Private, distraction-free workspace with high-speed internet and hard-wired connection.
• Must be available during PST hours for the first week of training.
• Must pass a background check, drug test, credential verification, and have a high school diploma or GED.

Schedule

• Full-time, remote role with potential for flexible scheduling after the initial training period.
• 40 hours per week with some weekend flexibility for self-motivated individuals.
