You will conduct CMS HCC risk adjustment coding across retrospective reviews, concurrent coding, and attestations to support clinical quality and financial integrity. This contract is remote with a start on November 18, 2024 and runs through year-end, with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Active coding certifications required (CRC, CPC, CIC, COC, CCS).
• Minimum of 2 years of HCC risk adjustment coding experience.
• Experience with multiple EMR systems and related platforms.

Responsibilities

• Review records to identify and code diagnoses per CMS HCC guidelines.
• Ensure documentation supports risk adjustment requirements.
• Perform claims and encounter coding and verify documentation for HCC codes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and regulations.
• Participate in training and provide feedback to improve coding quality.
• Document coding information in required systems and complete paperwork.
