Job summary

Datavant is seeking an HCC Auditor in Olympia, WA to review medical records coded in ICD-10, ensure accurate representation of patient conditions for risk adjustment and reimbursement, and uphold high quality in a fast-paced production team.

Responsibilities include auditing charts, adapting to client guidelines, and participating in weekly coding project reviews. A HS diploma plus AHIMA or AAPC credentials and strong terminology knowledge are required, with excellent remote communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years of HCC Coding experience.
• 2 years of HCC Auditing experience.
• Extensive ICD-10 knowledge.
• AHIMA or AAPC certified credentials (RHIA/CCS or CPC/CPC-H).
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Audit coded charts assigned by quality supervisor per client guidelines.
• Move between client guidelines with minimal difficulty.
• Maintain a 95% quality average at the diagnosis level.
• Address rebuttals entered by coders or auditors.
• Participate in weekly coding project review meetings.
• Complete any other tasks as directed by the quality supervisor.
