Job summary

Knowledge Builders Inc. is seeking a Systems Architect to support the State Health Information Network for New York (SHINNY). The role focuses on cloud integration, analytics, security programs, and training for Dept personnel on cloud-based tools.

You will design and implement SOA, PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS using IBM DataPower and WSO2 tools, develop secure applications, lead technical projects, and create diagrams and documentation for architecture.

Qualifications

• 84 months of experience architecting service-oriented architectures and cloud platform services.
• 84 months designing secure applications with security APIs, SAML, OAuth, and MFA.
• 84 months as lead technical architect on projects covering system architecture and maintenance.
• 36 months designing native cloud systems using AWS.
• 36 months deploying and monitoring apps with CI/CD and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

Job Description

State Health Information Network for New York (SHINNY).

This position will support cloud support services, such as cloud integration technical assistance, cloud-based analytic and security programs, and training for Dept personnel on the use of cloud-based tools.

Day-to-day Tasks

Day-to-day tasks may include but are not limited to:

• The Systems Architect will design and implement service-oriented architecture, platform as a service, infrastructure as a service and software as a service using IBM DataPower, WSO2 API Manager, and WSO2 Identity Manager.
• The Systems Architect will design and implement secure applications using security APIs, transport and message layer security, encryption and decryption algorithms for data security, SAML, single sign, OAuth, and multi-factor authentication.
• The Systems Architect will be a lead technical architect on projects that require a thorough understanding of systems architecture, engineering, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and preventative maintenance and security procedures.
• The Systems Architect will perform XSLT programming to create custom stylesheets for IBM DataPower, perform application load balancing using Kemp Application delivery controller, and initiate application deployment and monitoring using continuous integration systems and application monitoring tools.
• The Systems Architect will architect, develop, and debug Java applications.
• The Systems Architect will create diagrams and documentation for application and infrastructure architecture.

Systems Architect– Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.

84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

• 84 months of experience as lead technical architect on technical projects designing systems architecture, and managing configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and preventative maintenance and security procedures.
• 36 months of experience with designing native cloud systems using services in AWS.
• 36 months of experience with application deployment and monitoring using continuous integration systems and application monitoring tools.
