Job summary

Verst Logistics in Hebron Estates, KY seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee hazmat shipment processes and documentation. You will work with a team to set daily goals, ensure SLA compliance, and train staff in pick-and-pack operations.

The role requires knowledge of warehouse operations, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Prior forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years experience in a management role in a high-volume distribution environment.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and warehouse management system technology.
• Ability to work efficiently with a professional, customer friendly attitude.
• Able to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately and provide instructions to other associates as needed.
• Ability to understand, follow, and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Prefer prior experience operating a lift truck and cherry picker.
• Ability to reach, bend, climb and lift to 50lbs safely as needed.
• Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills
• Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed due to customer demand.
• Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Identify and process hazardous material shipments.
• Create and maintain documentation and photos for hazmat shipments.
• Collaborate with supervisor to set daily team goals.
• Review system before shift to meet SLA expectations.
• Conduct training sessions to develop pick and pack skills.
• Monitor workflow balance and reallocate staff as needed.
• Implement and maintain procedures using industry guidelines.
• Cross-train across all areas to understand requirements and goals.
• Make on-the-spot decisions affecting productivity.
• Communicate plans, actions, and results clearly by email or verbally.
• Provide backup support to other areas as needed.
• Attend meetings on process flow and layout as required.
• Operate material handling equipment as required to complete job functions.
