Job summary

Verst is seeking a warehouse supervisor to identify, process, and document hazardous material shipments and maintain detailed records with supporting photos. The role requires supervising a pick/pack team, setting daily goals, and ensuring SLA compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years in a management role in high-volume distribution, knowledge of warehouse operations, and strong communication skills for on-the-spot decisions and cross-training across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years in a management position in a high-volume distribution environment preferred.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and warehouse management system technology.
• Able to work efficiently with a professional, customer friendly attitude.
• Follow instructions thoroughly and communicate clearly to associates.

Responsibilities

• Identify, process, and document all hazmat shipments.
• Maintain records of hazmat shipments, including photos.
• Set daily team goals with supervisor and peers.
• Review the system before shift to meet SLA expectations.
• Conduct training sessions to develop pick and pack skills.
• Balance workflow and move staff to critical areas as needed.
• Implement and maintain procedures using industry best practices.
• Cross-train across all Luxury areas to meet goals.
• Understand fulfillment processes to make on-the-spot productivity decisions.
• Communicate plans, actions, and results verbally and by email.
• Demonstrate continuous improvement to reduce turnaround times and streamline processes.
• Provide backup support to other areas as needed.
• Attend meetings on customer layout and process flow as required.
• Operate material handling equipment as needed.
