Job summary

North Slope Borough seeks a fuel delivery driver with a valid CDL and HazMat endorsement to transport diesel to Borough facilities and residents. The role requires maintaining storage facilities, performing inspections, and keeping precise delivery records in Alaska.

Occasional village travel and on-call duties are expected. The Borough operates a strict safety program and drug-free workplace as part of compliance with federal rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent with related work experience.
• Valid U.S. CDL with X HazMat endorsement meeting criteria.
• Ability to obtain IS-100/200/700/800 training within probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inventory diesel fuel in storage.
• Operate fuel truck to safely transport and deliver fuel to Borough facilities and residents.
• Maintain North Slope Borough fuel storage facilities and perform daily inspections.
• Keep accurate records of fuel deliveries and perform weekly inventory.
• Travel to villages as required and be on 24-hour call if needed.
