North Slope Borough seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator/Truck Driver to support road, airport and landfill maintenance on the North Slope. The role involves operating heavy equipment, delivering diesel and coordinating fuel transport to facilities and residents.

The position requires a valid Alaska CDL with X/N endorsements, experience with heavy machinery, and willingness to travel between Arctic communities. A two-week on/off shift is described, with potential for on-call duties.

Qualifikationen

• Experience operating heavy equipment and performing daily maintenance.
• Ability to obtain 40-Hour Hazwoper within probation period.
• Vaccinations as required by employment policy.

Aufgaben

• Operate heavy equipment and machinery in accordance with safety regulations.
• Maintains and clears roads, airport runways, access roads, and landfill areas.
• Inspects vehicles and equipment; completes shift inspection checklist and logs.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment logs, inspection forms, and daily trip reports.
• Assist with delivering diesel fuel to storage facilities and homes; help with loading/unloading.
