Zusammenfassung

Aerotek is hiring a Forklift Driver in Long Beach, CA to safely operate forklifts, load/unload trailers, and move hazardous materials in a warehouse setting, following OSHA, EPA, and DOT guidelines.

You will use RF scanners, perform pre-operation inspections, and maintain accurate records while following PPE and safety procedures; this is a full-time, contract-to-hire role with weekly pay and benefits. The position requires lifting up to 60 pounds and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifikationen

• 35 years of forklift driving experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
• At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse loading/unloading trailers, containers and railcars.
• Proven ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Experience handling and preparing hazardous materials (HAZMAT) for shipment in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
• Ability to operate lift truck attachments (forks, carton clamp, roll grab, pulp clamp).
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to hazardous materials handling and warehouse operations.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds regularly.
• Experience with materials handling, shipping/receiving, and inventory processes.
• RF scanning and inventory tracking experience.
• Commitment to PPE and uniforms and following safety guidelines.

Aufgaben

• Safely operate forklifts to unload trailers, containers, and railcars and store products.
• Safely operate forklifts to pick orders and load products for outbound shipments.
• Handle and prepare hazardous materials (HAZMAT) for shipment per regulations.
• Use lift truck attachments to move different materials as required.
• Perform routine safety checks and pre-operation forklift inspections.
• Maintain records of material movement, storage locations, and inspections.
• Use RF scanners and inventory tools to track, pick, and verify materials for shipping/receiving.
• Assist with inventory management, labeling, storage, and hazardous materials handling.
• Identify and report spills, leaks, damage, or unsafe conditions.
