Job summary

Admin Service Inc. is seeking a Forklift Driver / Warehouse Associate for the Long Beach yard on 2nd shift. Join a dynamic team moving and sorting recyclables, performing safety checks, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts, organizing materials, and assisting loading dock operations while adhering to safety regulations and teamwork standards. A valid forklift certification is preferred and a driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification preferred but subject to complete a forklift skills assessment.
• Previous experience as a forklift operator in a recycling or industrial setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items regularly.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Knowledge of recycling industry practices (preferred).
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
• Commitment to environmental sustainability and recycling practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials within the recycling yard
• Accurately sort and organize recyclable materials according to established procedures
• Perform basic maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues to supervisors
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and meet daily goals
• Assist with loading dock operations as needed
• Maintain accurate records of materials moved and processed
• Participate in regular safety training and meetings
