Job summary

Hepaco a Clean Harbors company is seeking a Field Services Technician II to join our safety-conscious team. This role will operate in the field performing tasks related to hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.

The position offers an hourly range of $19.00–$20.00 and requires attending a two-week paid training academy out of state, with travel expenses paid and per diem provided.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to perform physical functions per key responsibilities.
• This position includes emergency response and on-call duties; weekends/holidays may be required; emergency responses can exceed 8 hours.
• Previous relevant labor experience is preferred.
• Background check, drug test, and physical may be required by position.
• Facial hair standards per OSHA respirator requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies and acting safely.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and a range of hand and powered tools.
• Wear and use PPE (respirators, skin/eye/hand/foot protection) in various combinations.
• Work in varied temperatures indoors and outdoors and in all weather.
• Work in potentially hazardous atmospheres with chemical/physical agents.
• Work in elevated noise, confined spaces, ladders, and scaffolding.
• Assist in field sampling and meter calibration.
• Complete paperwork such as worksheets and inspections.
