Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Michigan seeks a CDL Class A driver to transport, remove, deliver and collect liquid hazardous wastes from customer sites. You will load/unload trucks and operate vacuum and box trucks as needed, while maintaining driver logs and accurate paperwork.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
• Must have tanker and hazmat endorsements.
• Must be able to drive manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation and safe practices.
• Familiarity with government documents such as manifests.
• Perform trip inspections on equipment and loads to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
• Comply with legislation including hours of service, safety, and transportation of dangerous goods.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions and verify positioning.
