Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring a driver to transport, remove, deliver, and collect hazardous wastes from customer sites. You're expected to load/unload, operate vacuum/box trucks, and use equipment aligned with your license on site where needed.

Responsibilities include safe cargo handling, pre/post-trip inspections, logs, and regulatory manifests, with strong customer communication. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A with clean driving record.
• Tanker endorsement required; Hazmat endorsement strongly desired.
• Must be able to drive manual transmissions.
• Familiarity with government documents such as manifests.

• Deliver products and complete all required paperwork courteously and on time.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members while keeping work sites clean and debris-free.

Job Summary

This driver will transport, remove, deliver, and collect various liquid and solid hazardous wastes from various customer sites. You will be required to load and unload trucks, with the ability to operate a variety of trucks and equipment—including vacuum trucks, box trucks, and any other equipment matching your license on site if necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport, load, and unload liquid and solid hazardous wastes.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, bills of lading, and regulatory manifests.
• Ensure proper cargo handling, securement, and full compliance with safety regulations.
• Deliver products and complete all required paperwork courteously and on time.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members while keeping work sites clean and debris-free.

Requirements

• Valid CDL A with clean driving record.

• Familiarity and experience working with government documents such as manifests.
• Manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 75+ lbs required.
• Overtime as required including occasional weekend work.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background screening prior to starting.
