Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician in Greensboro, NC. The role requires safely transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste using various trailers and (A) class trucks, with a Monday–Friday schedule and possible overnight shifts.

You will manage DOT paperwork, permits, and customer interactions while following strict hazmat rules. Must possess a valid Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days, plus 40-hour HAZWOPER

Qualifikationen

• Valid class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Must be able to work Monday–Friday with potential overnight shifts.

Aufgaben

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, tractor-trailers, and box trucks.
• Perform LTL pickups and maintain driver documents (logbook, manifests, trip reports).
• Understand DOT regulations for hazardous waste handling, loading, segregation, and labeling.
• Ensure compliance with state weight limit laws and safe vehicle operations.
• Use company mobile apps and fleet software as assigned by leadership.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip DOT/MOT inspections.
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction and safety.
• Maintain housekeeping at facilities and on grounds; assist as needed on lab pack work.
• Participate in Site Safety programs and required training.
