Job summary

Clean Harbors in High Point, NC is seeking a Class A CDL Driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites and perform duties related to hazardous waste cleanup.

The role includes driving, loading/unloading, and adherence to DOT and company safety standards, with paid two-week training out of state and travel/ per diem provided for training.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
• Ability to operate a manual transmission
• Ability to use various mobile devices
• Background check, drug test, and physical as required
• Facial hair standards per OSHA respirator rule (29 CFR 1910.34)

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed (team atmosphere)
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks
• Loading and unloading of trucks
• Manual labor on site to fulfill customer needs
• Proper placarding to meet DOT requirements/regulations
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports
• Follow local, state and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles per DOT and company requirements
• Follow company operating guidelines and EH&S procedures
• Observe EH&S guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned
• On-call for emergency response on rotating basis
• Site-remediation and handling hazardous materials
