Job summary

Clean Harbors in High Point, NC is seeking a Class A CDL Driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at our customer sites for hazardous waste cleanup.

This role requires attending a paid two-week training academy out of state; travel expenses are paid and per diem provided. Primary duties include driving, loading/unloading, and ensuring DOT compliance, with on-call emergency response on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission and use mobile devices.
• Ability to perform physical functions and pass background check, drug test and medical if applicable.
• Must meet facial hair standards per OSHA respiratory protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as part of a team.
• Load and unload trucks; perform manual labor on site.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
• Ensure vehicle placarding meets DOT requirements/regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with DOT/local/federal requirements.
• Be on call for emergency response on rotating basis.
• Handle site remediation and hazardous materials as required.
