Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Environmental Technician to consolidate, treat, store, and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible practices. You will maintain detailed records and support facility operations in Kent, WA.

The role requires 2+ years of hazardous materials experience, ability to operate a forklift/pallet jack, and willingness to work outdoors in all weather. PPE and safety training are provided. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with hazardous materials.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate equipment including a forklift and pallet jack.
• Visual acuity to read labels and documentation; depth perception to safely drive forklifts.
• Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms.
• Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions.
• Willingness to wear company-provided PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.

Responsibilities

• Industrial cleaning/pressure washing, wastewater treatment, spill response, facility services.
• Complete required documentation accurately, timely, and legibly per regulations and customer policies.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
